Pirate Island

There's a new place here in Orem that opened where our favorite dollar movie theater used to be. That place is called Pirate Island. Everything I've seen about it looked really fun. Fun atmosphere, places for kids to play and of course eating. We decided to check this place out with our good friends Aimee and Porter. It looked so fun when we got there. Atmosphere... check

They take us back to our seats and give us pirate hats for the girls (no pictures because they were too big and wouldn't fit) and some token for the girls. Turns out it is kind of like a chuck e cheese. So we check out the fun. There's a little pirate ship to play on for the kids. Cool! Cali and Oaklee loved playing on that even though Jack won't let Cali wear anything that she was wearing until it's washed agaom and he came home and scrubbed her down.

After we went to use our tokens. This train took two tokens for one ride but Cali loved it. I'm pretty sure I could have done this at Wal-mart too.
The girls loved to hit the sharks coming out! They thought it was so fun. A different game ate up the last token. Games..... ok
When we got back to our table our food was waiting for us. To make this part short, the girls had the best meal to eat. Food... bad
The food was gross and way overpriced. At least we got to listen to people singing karaoke very badly. All in all we thought it was ok to experience it once but we'll never go there again. Made some fun pictures though :)

Cold weather = cute clothes

Below is Cali's first time walking in the snow. It was right before church and as you can tell from the pictures, she didn't like the snow on her shoe and was very upset about it
It's on my shoe!!!

Christmas Surprise

Jack surprised us by bringing home a ginger bread house kit after volleyball practice today. I love doing Christmas activities and was so excited for this surprise. Apparently Cali was too. She was trying to help even when I was putting the house together before we could decorate it. Unfortunately she had to wait 15 minutes to decorate it. When the time was up, she was all over the decorating. She surprised me by actually decoration and not eating all the candy. Yes, she did sneak some candy in and she kept on scraping the frosting off. At first I tried to keep her from eating everything but Jack reminded me that it's going to happen anyway so let it. After I allowed it she didn't eat as much as I thought she would. It was really messy and really sticky but it was so much fun and we all had a blast making the ginger bread house.

Cali spreading the frosting on the roof. She also helped with all the sprinkles.
She put every one of these gum drops on. She would say "boop" when putting every one on.
Happy she finished her row
Decorating the tree, she also did this one all by herself
Finished product. This is when she kept eating the frosting
Cheese with her first ginger bread house.
The back was filled with the rest of the frosting and finger scrapes.

**Funny note**
After I was done posting this I found Cali moving her stool to the sink. Knowing right away what she was trying to do I grabbed my camera and let her take one for the sake of a picture. Why does this picture just seem like Christmas to me?

Cali has hair

Sort of... She is getting a lot of hair in the back and the front is taking a little longer to grow. The fun part is I can put her hair in pig tails. Here's some pictures.

Can you see them? Aren't they just the cutest? It looks so funny in the front but I can't spoil my excitement that she's getting hair. She's starting to look like a kid :)

5 years anniversary

Last week Jack and I had our 5 year anniversary. A big anniversary... yes, were we ready for it... no. We had other plans in advance that we didn't plan our anniversary for the day of. Whoops. We decided to celebrate it today by going to our traditional Tucanos and we were going to do a movie. Little did we know that Tucanos had a 1:45 min wait so we had to skip the movie. That's ok. We still had a great 3 hours to spend together in honor of our "big 5". Sadly, we only got a picture in a car on our way to Tucanos because we were waiting for the car to warm up. (Yes, it snowed and it was really cold)
We have many many more years together for practing getting the planning on the right day :)

I know it's been a while since I last posted but I won't forget the Halloween post. So far we've had a few Halloween events. We went to the ward Halloween carnival earlier this week, went to a trunk or treat today and also got Halloween pictures taken for an anniversary present for me. Yes, our anniversary is next week and we're going on 5 years! Not much planned yet but you can wait for that post to read about that. Here's some pictures of the events so far. The battery ran out for trunk or treat but you can imagine what she looked like.

There was a bunch of games and Cali loved them.
She got an apple painted on her hand. Notice her face? She seemed so worried about it but she would just leave her hand there and would just watch what she was doing.
Aren't these just the cutest snow whites around?
Before the carnival getting ready with her friends

These are the pictures that were taken. They explain themselves

We still have time planned for a pumpkin patch, trick or treating around our old neighborhood and at the mall and hanging out with friends. We love Halloween!
